Volunteers Make the Difference...

Volunteers make up 95% of the ministry that occurs at the Pima County Adult Detention Center. For those who have a heart to minister God’s Love, there is a wide range of programs available.

The only way darkness can prevail in the lives of detained youth, women and men is if those who walk in the light do nothing.

We hold a volunteer orientation every quarter for individuals interested in the Pima County Jail Ministry. The orientation consists of:

  • A Pima County Jail Ministry overview
  • Video Presentation
  • Security Policies & Procedures
  • and the Application Process.
There is a $15.00 annual membership fee due with your application.

Upon completion of your application it is submitted to the security department of the Pima County Adult Detention Center for a complete background check.

When your clearance is approved you will be notified and training will begin regarding your program interest. If your clearance is denied, you will be contacted regarding any discrepancies in your application. Other reasons for denial will be addressed on a case by case basis.
